1) Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we process when you use the App, why we process it, how we keep it secure, and your rights. We store data on a secure server and do not share it with third parties, except as strictly necessary to operate the service or comply with the law.
2) Scope
This Policy covers the App and its related services available at https://[subdomain].streetup.be. It does not cover third-party sites you may access via external links.
3) Data we collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide and maintain the App.

Optional features (e.g., location) — Art. 6(1)(a) consent (you can withdraw anytime via device/app settings)
We do not use personal data for advertising or sell your data.
5) Data Retention
We keep data only as long as necessary for the purposes above:
Account and operational records: for the duration of your account/contract and as required by applicable law or archiving rules.
Security/diagnostic logs: typically up to [e.g., 12 months], unless needed for investigations or legal claims.
When retention periods expire, data is deleted or irreversibly anonymized.
6) Security
Data is stored on a secure server with industry-standard protections:
Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (where applicable),
Access controls based on roles and least privilege,
Audit logging and regular updates/patching,
Backups and recovery procedures.
No system is perfectly secure, but we continuously improve our safeguards.
7) Sharing & Processors
We do not share personal data with other parties for their own purposes.
We may engage vetted processors (e.g., hosting, error reporting) strictly to operate the App under data-processing agreements. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
8) International Transfers
If data is transferred outside the EEA/UK, we use lawful safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and additional measures where needed.

Objection to processing based on legitimate interests
For consent-based features, you can withdraw consent at any time (e.g., disable location).

10) Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
11) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. We will post the updated version with a new effective date, and, where required, notify you in-app.
